METLIFE/TCG A-ha! Program: Think It, Do It

Think It grants (up to $25,000) for research and development. Do It grants (up to $50,000) support the implementation and testing.

NEA/TCG Theatre Residency Program for Playwrights

(with additional support from the Ford Foundation) Playwrights create new work in residence at a host theatre and become an integral part of the theatre's artistic life and community activities. Individuals apply in collaboration with a proposed host theatre.

New Generations Program

Future Leaders: Accomplished theatre professionals share their expertise with future leaders from the United States.

Future Audiences: Theatres expand and strengthen relationships with young, culturally specific, disabled and/or under-served audiences.

Future Collaborations: Theatres professionals travel internationally, enabling them to share ideas and techniques and/or collaborate with colleagues around the world.

TCG Observership Program

Recipients of the Observership Program, TCG's oldest grant and the only one funded solely by TCG, are given travel stipends up to $2,000.00 to travel across the country and internationally. The program provides opportunities for key staff at TCG's member theatres to observe the administration and artistic work of other theatres and meet with colleagues.

TCG/ITI Travel Grant

Designed to support cultural exchange and artistic partnerships between theatre professionals in the United States and their counterparts in Russia and Eastern and Central Europe. These grants award theatres and individual theatre professionals (artists, administrators or educators) $3,000 each, which may cover transportation and living expenses essential to the project including research materials, communication costs, theatre tickets and/or the services of an interpreter.
