Early Bird rates for both in-person and virtual registration are available through February 9, 2024 or until sold out.
*TCG Member rates are available to staff and board members at TCG Member Theatres or Affiliates as well as TCG Individual Members. If you have any questions about your membership status, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
Please note: Most meals during the 2024 Conference will be “on your own” throughout Chicago, or available for an additional charge as part of an excursion, dine-around, or affinity space. Our registration process offers you the opportunity to opt into breakfast on Friday 6/21 and Saturday 6/22 at the Hyatt Regency, as well as some additional lunch options, at an additional charge. Breakfast on Thursday, June 20 will be complimentary at the Hyatt Regency. Any available coffee breaks are also included in your conference registration fee. Please contact

Discounts, Scholarships, and Subsidies

Scholarships and Subsidies: TCG has expanded opportunities for scholarship and subsidy support for registration to the 2024 conference. In alignment with TCG’s ongoing organizational efforts to center BIPOC and BITOC (Theatres of Color) as well as disability and TGNC communities, we will prioritize those who have been historically underrepresented at our conferences and throughout the field when determining scholarship and subsidy recipients. Opportunities for full and partial financial support will be available to organizational employees as well as independent practitioners.

Sponsorship Opportunities
Businesses registering to learn from the field or interested in providing fieldwide learning opportunities for member theatres are encouraged to consider joining as an event sponsor. TCG offers a variety of opportunities at different price points to align your business’ work and brand with TCG’s values. Every sponsorship plays an integral role in producing TCG events, including reducing financial barriers for theatre practitioners across the country. Cancellation Info
In-person Registration Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made before June 7th will incur a $100 cancellation fee; cancellations made after June 7th will not be refundable. Contact
[email protected] if you would like to request an exception in the case of an emergency. Registered attendees who fail to participate in the conference without notice will not be eligible for any refunds after the conference.
Virtual Registration Cancellation Policy: There are no cancellation fees for virtual registration cancellations; bear in mind that you will have access to session recordings post-conference if you remain registered, even if you can’t attend sessions in real time.
Switching Modality: Attendees may switch their in-person registration to a virtual registration at any point without financial penalty; similarly, attendees are welcomed to switch their virtual registration to an in-person registration at any point prior to June 7th.
Substitutions: Should you find that you cannot attend once you've registered and would like to replace yourself with another staff or board member at your theatre, please email us at [email protected]. Substitutions are only permitted within a theatre’s staff or board; registrations may not be transferred outside of your organization.
COVID-19 Safety: For In-Person Attendees
The CDC status of COVID-19 as a public health emergency expired in September 2023. In following CDC guidelines, TCG is not requiring masking or vaccination for attendance at the TCG Conference, however we strongly encourage you to ensure your vaccination status is up to date. (Visit the CDC website for vaccine guidance.) We also strongly encourage COVID testing before traveling to the Conference, and testing each morning of your Conference attendance. TCG will have masks and a limited number of COVID rapid antigen tests available for attendee use upon request.
