Overview  Application  Give now  Research

Funds for the Dolls is intentionally created by TCG and led by trans women of color (TWOC) leaders in the performing arts who understand the complex issues facing TWOC performing and theatre artists. In this self-funded pilot round with $50,000, TCG aims to support these trailblazers, and uplift their joy, artistry, audacity and tenacity.

We are specifically committed to investing in TWOC performing or theatre artists who are looking to develop their artistry further and have a commitment to their craft. Those who use or have used survival sex work and other forms of hustle are encouraged to apply.

This grant is NSA (no strings attached). The funds can be used for anything from a performing arts project, essential needs such as shelter, or your gender-affirming care. Recipients do not have to submit a report. We will just reach out to awardees online once or more as needed to check in.

πŸ‘€ We’re looking for a LTR (long-term relationship) πŸ’…πŸΎ. If you are selected, we do hope to build a lasting relationship and involve you in our future programming as TCG is centering the needs and experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), TGNC (Transgender and Gender Nonconforming), and Disability communities.

Apply now through our Quickie Application, ladies! We would love to learn more about who you are, the types of needs you are experiencing, and what makes you shine as a performing arts and/or theatre artist.

People of Color and BIPOC are terms used here for solidarity purposes representing a multiplicity of racial, ethnic, and cultural groups. We acknowledge that the terms People of Color and BIPOC are imperfect, not universally embraced by many who identify as People of the Global Majority among others, and that language is in a constant state of reimagination and redefinition. For reference, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color represent over 80% of the global population. It is possible that during the program period, the language may shift again.
