Last year, more than 170 theatres contributed data, making the Salary Survey one of the most robust in recent years. This annual survey, alongside TCG’s broader research efforts, helps us better understand the state of the field and supports advocacy for a more just, equitable, and thriving theatre ecology.
Why participate?
The Salary Survey is a key benefit of TCG Member Theatre participation. Theatres that complete the survey receive access to:

The full Salary Survey report, with data broken out by budget size

Specialized reports customized by region, budget group, and other specifications

Complete and specialized reports are available exclusively to theatres that submit survey data.
What’s New?
This year, TCG has updated the survey process to make participation easier and more efficient. The Salary Survey has been consolidated into a single Google Sheet, replacing the previous platform.
The file is view-only by default. To complete the survey, participants should Make a Copy or download to Excel, rename the file with their theatre’s name, and submit the completed survey. Only one representative per theatre should complete the survey.
These updates are designed to address previous pain points and streamline the experience. Feedback is welcome and can be shared via email or in the comments section at the end of the survey.

Organizations that have not yet renewed their membership are encouraged to do so prior to submitting the survey.
