Types of Scholarships
1. FAR: Applicants who reside outside of Puerto Rico may receive:
- 100% of the registration fee
- 3 nights at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino (check in on June 10 and out on 13, 2026)
- Roundtrip economy flights to and from San Juan
- Please note that registration add-ons and other expenses are not included.
The deadline for FAR applicants is Friday, April 17, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT (including US Virgin Islands), 10:59pm CDT, 9:59pm MDT, 8:59pm PDT, 7:59pm AKDT, 5:59pm HST, 4:59pm SST (American Samoa), and 1:59pm ChST on Saturday, April 18, 2026 (Guam and Northern Mariana Islands).
2. NEAR: Applicants who reside within Puerto Rico, outside of the San Juan metro area, and are not able to commute daily to the conference site may receive:
- 100% of the registration fee
- 3 nights at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino (check in on June 10 and out on 13, 2026)
- Roundtrip ground transportation to and from San Juan
- Please note that registration add-ons and other expenses are not included.
The deadline for NEAR applicants is Friday, May 8, 2026 at 6pm AST.
3. LOCAL: Applicants who reside within Puerto Rico and are able to commute daily to the conference site may receive:
- 100% of the registration fee
- Please note that registration add-ons and other expenses are not included.
The deadline for LOCAL applicants is Friday, May 8, 2026 at 6pm AST.
TCG is committed to ensuring recipients incur as few out-of-pocket expenses as possible. Should there be any minor amounts, TCG will reimburse you within 14 business days upon receipt of the required documentation from the recipients.
Eligibility
You must be a current TCG member through at least one of the following categories:
- Staff and board members at TCG Member Organizations
- TCG Individual Member
- Student Member
- Trustee Member
Join TCG as a member and take advantage of the full range of our programs and services, including eligibility to apply for the National Conference scholarship.
Student membership is as low as $10 annually. Individual membership is as low as $50 annually. Theatre membership is available on a pay-what-you-will basis.

TCG encourages applications from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC); TGNC communities; and Disability and Deaf communities, as well as from inheritors (30 years old and under) and seniors (60 years old and over).
Members of any committees associated with TCG or this National Conference should not apply for these scholarships and subsidies as there may be support through different means; please inquire through your TCG point of contact.
Selection Process
The scholarship recipients will be selected through a random lottery process.
